NBA 2K, the ultimate annual sports game, is about to launch. Although NBA fans and players no longer have high expectations for gameplay and graphics upgrades and innovations, the player ratings announced by 2K every year still generate a lot of discussion. Last night, 2K25 released the ratings of all players, and here are the ratings for the top 30 players:
Top 30-21:
88: Zion Williamson, Luka Doncic, De'Aaron Fox, Bam Adebayo
89: Domantas Sabonis, Trae Young, Paul George, Brandon Ingram, Jimmy Butler, Damian Lillard
Top 20-11:
90: Tyrese Haliburton, Khris Middleton
91: Ben Simmons
92: Donovan Mitchell, Jaylen Brown, Kyrie Irving, Kawhi Leonard
93: Anthony Edwards, Devin Booker, Jaylen Brown
Top 10:
94: Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis
95: LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Jayson Tatum
96: Deandre Ayton, Joel Embiid
97: Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo
In these ratings, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry just missed the top three but are still within the top ten players in the league. The three players with a rating of 97 are all international players. In this rating, Joel Embiid received a rating of 96, ranking first among all USA Basketball players in this year's Olympics. If we consider Joel Embiid, who hails from Cameroon, an international player, then the top five players in this rating are all international players.
Despite being nearly forty years old, LeBron James still achieved a rating of 95. In the first two seasons of his career, LeBron's initial ratings were 77 and 88, and in the 20 years that followed, his initial rating has never been lower than 94. Another evergreen player is Kevin Durant. Since his fourth year in the league, KD's ratings in 2K have always been above 90, and his career rating has never fallen below 80.
