24/25 UEFA Champions League draw was held on August 30th. In the group stage, Bayern Munich's opponents include Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Benfica, Shakhtar Donetsk, Dinamo Zagreb, Feyenoord, Bratislava, and Villa. After the draw, three executives from Bayern Munich gave interviews.
Sporting director Eberl said, "This is a very interesting and exciting format that keeps people on the edge of their seats. We are delighted to meet former Bayern coach Flick in Barcelona. We will have an exciting match against PSG at home. We have never played against Bratislava before, and we lost to Villa in the finals in 1982. Apart from these two teams, we have a better record against all the other opponents. Facing Villa will be a historic reunion, and we will give everything for a better ending."
CEO Dreßen said, "We are satisfied with our opponents. I just told PSG's Nasser, we are almost a 'married couple' in the Champions League because we often meet each other. It will definitely be an exciting encounter. I am glad that we will face them at home. Personally, Villa is a very attractive opponent. The last time we met was in the finals 42 years ago. Our top priority is the Bundesliga, which is the purest championship. However, we have a dream to play in the Champions League final in Munich."
Sporting director Frohnde said, "Our opponents are very balanced, with two absolute top teams, Barcelona and PSG. There are also very interesting away matches, including Rotterdam and Villa. These two away matches are very exciting. It is a very exciting new format for the Champions League, and we are looking forward to the new season."
